It had been a boring past few days at the Pennington Household. It was just us girls sitting on the couch not knowing what to do. I wanted OUT. So I headed on over to www.exploregeorgia.org and searched for some cities that I could easily drive to. With a cute downtown area and vintage aesthetic, Dublin looked like the perfect place for us.
After getting dressed and ready the next day, I told mom we would be going to Dublin. The only problem, my stepdad had taken my car. Mom had her car but I had never tried to drive it especially on such a long trip like this. However, I pushed through and ended up going the scenic way down Hwy 80. But Let me tell you, the beauty of the overhanging trees and crepe myrtles in bloom made most of my stress go away. And an hour later, we were in Downtown Dublin.

At this time it was around noon and time for lunch. Our first stop was Deano's Italian Grill in the center of downtown. We were greeted by their friendly staff who made sure to check up on us the whole time. The food was lovely but the interior is what really gave me that Italian feel.

I ordered the Chicken Cacciatore (I said it right when I ordered. Aren't you proud?) and mom had a plate of spaghetti with marinara. It was reasonably priced around ten dollars and the flavors were magnificent. I usually hate tomatoes but the seasoning and sauce on them made them absolutely delicious. Of course, mom had saved room for dessert where she ordered a slice of raspberry swirl cheesecake.

We left lunch munching on our little breath mints and began to walk downtown. We stopped at a cute boutique which I had no intention of buying anything there. But obviously, I tried on some clothes.

Overall, I was pleased with the quaint little downtown of Dublin. I definitely will come back here someday to learn about all these buildings and their history. Until next time...
